Prague by night

When your global business spans many locations, it is crucial to maintain a strong corporate culture. EasyPractice understands this and therefore organizes annual company trips to strengthen internal bonds. This year’s destination was the historic city of Prague, Czech Republic, and this journey was more than just a trip – it was a challenging and fun experience that expanded our horizons and strengthened our collaboration.

Culinary Journey in Prague with Lokál Hamburk and Dva Kohouti

After the logistic arrival puzzle was solved, we headed together to Lokál Hamburk for an authentic Czech culinary experience. The menu offered everything from fried cheese to minced pig’s head to schnitzels. The menu was a genuine culinary… experience. There was certainly a lot to talk about as we moved on to the next destination: Dva Kohouti.

In the neighboring building, we found the Czech microbrewery Dva Kohouti. Here, a guided beer tasting opened our senses to authentic Czech pilsner. Two things stood out, making the beer tasting a unique experience:

  1. A surprisingly detailed explanation of how to wash glasses to achieve the perfect foam.
  2. The tradition of filling an entire glass with foam if you just want a ‘light’ beer.

The evening culminated in an elegant three-course dinner at the fine Art Restaurant Mánes. With a view of the Vltava River, the first hint of the Czech fondness for tartare emerged.

Inspiring Presentations and Team Challenges

The next day started with some technical challenges. In a room full of IT-savvy individuals, the hotel’s iPad broke. However, only the hotel staff were allowed to attempt to fix it. This called for a short half-hour delay before we proceeded to three inspiring presentations on strategy, best practices, and creating a positive work culture.

The lunch trip went to a delightful restaurant just around the corner: Tiskárna. Lunch at Tiskárna introduced us to yet another delicious serving of tartare, which now began to form a small pattern. The tartare was digested, and we set out to challenge each other in Prison Island Prague, a unique escape room experience that strengthened our teamwork and collaboration skills.

The evening was once again celebrated with a lavish tartare dinner at Červený Jelen. A hat trick of tartare in just two days.

Presentations, Gingerbread Shots, and Acrobatic Entertainment

The last day featured presentations from the development and support team. This time, fortunately, we avoided technical challenges. We learned a lot about the day-to-day work in the various teams, enhancing our understanding of each other’s workflows.

After the presentations, we went on a beautiful walk through Prague’s old town, leading us to the lunch destination: U Fleků. Here, sweet dark beer and a delicious gingerbread shot set the mood for a festive afternoon, complete with live Czech “tavern” music – a complete experience.

The highlight of the evening was a gastronomic experience at Mlýnec, followed by a spectacular night at MoonClub with acrobatic dances, including aerial hoops and gymnastics.

What Have We Learned?

After a long and festive night, we gathered early the next morning to take the bus to the airport. Despite a minor false bomb alarm, the Danish team managed to catch the flight to Copenhagen.

EasyPractice’s trip to Prague was not only eventful but also renewed our energy and strengthened our collegial bonds. From being distant colleagues with the company as the only common denominator, we have become a unified entity with shared memories. When we work together online, we are not just working with our colleagues but with our friends. The trip has strengthened our corporate culture and is an important element for a good remote workplace.

Now we are ready to meet our clients with renewed knowledge, enthusiasm, and great determination!

Proof that we also learned a bit on the trip. Here we are ready for a presentation on marketing and support :)
